This is absolutely unacceptable & disrespectful to PC gamers who have patiently waited for 2 weeks to unlock & play Sonic Mania PC Version via Steam Client, especially for customers who purchased Sonic Mania Collector's Edition (Steam/PC Version) from Amazon, Gamestop, EB Games, Walmart, Target, etc. For instance, players who want to play Sonic Mania PC version via Steam cannot launch the game without internet connection and also requires Steam account to be logged in too which is preposterous & ridiculous! Not only DRM prevents offline players to play the game in offline mode, this can also impact performance of your hardware which means it'd take substantial amount of system resource of SSD/HDD Read & Write cycle, CPU, GPU, RAM usage, etc. If, however, Denuvo Server is on shutdown and/or run into bankruptcy, then this would be very serious problem to consumers. In other words, the game would be unplayable. So therefore, I encourage you guys to send this feedback to Aaron Webber on Twitter, and you can also submit a ticket to SEGA UK Customer Service to give feedback in order to possibly remove Denuvo DRM from Sonic Mania PC Version. Henceforth, let our voices be heard! In the meantime, you can see why vast majority of PC community are extremely pissed off and dissatisfied due to Denuvo DRM implementation.
