ZX SPECTRUM 1982-2016: 5½ hours with 600+ top quality colorful games!
This video features 5½ hours with some of the best programmed ZX Spectrum games. As a minimum there are 10 games for every year, but many years have many more games. This is a tribute to the ZX Spectrum and this video shows what this home computer can do if it is programmed correctly, so games that is a big mess of color clash and monochrome games where it is impossible to see what is going on is not included. Unfortunately the ZX Spectrum got a lot of arcade conversions that looked like crap and played like crap. These games were also made for the C64, Amstrad CPC, Amiga and Atari ST and the easiest and fastest way to convert them to the ZX Spectrum was to make a dull monochrome version, so if you download an emulator and some of the most known titles from the eighties you will probably be very disappointed. There is also a lot of videos on Youtube where those games is being compared and makes the ZX Spectrum look like a poor machine, but that is quite unfair because it is the programming and not the machine that is poor. In this video you will find a lot of games similar to those arcade conversions …all done in color! A few monochrome games is also included because the C64 and Amstrad CPC also got some monochrome games or games with few colors, so to totally exclude all of these games would be unfair. This video is also a travel through time showing the evolution of games, because what happened is that people never stopped using the ZX Spectrum, and therefore this computer have had many titles released for it every year since 1982. We are starting way back in time in 1982 at the beginning of video gaming and we are meeting clones of classic games like Space Invaders (Space Raiders), Pacman (Gobbleman) and Centipede, and as we travel through time we also meet some of the biggest newer titles such as Doom and Mortal Kombat in 1997, Super Bomberman 2 in 2001 and Wolfenstein in 2004 and we end up with the present time modern games that offers a lot of new gaming concepts and there was also a ZX Spectrum version of Dune II in 2014 and Castlevania in 2015. Other great games based on big newer classics converted to the ZX Spectrum: Black Raven 1997 (Warcraft), Cannon Bubble 2007 (Bust-A-Move) and Survivisection 2012 (The Chaos Engine). In 1993 the last games produced by western companies was released, but companies from Czech-Slovakia / Slovakia released some great games from 1992-1995, and in 1995 a lot of people from Ex-Soviet started producing ZX Spectrum games – this continued until the era of retro gaming / retro programming took over, and companies like Cronosoft and World XXI Soft Inc started producing commercial games for the ZX Spectrum again. I have included more than 600 games, but I do not know every single game for the ZX Spectrum, so there is probably many more high quality games available for the system. This is not any kind of Top 10 or Top 20 list for every year, so there is a lot of well known games that is not included because focus is on the best programmed games and not on the best sold games. The video has been made to show some of the best programmed games for the ZX Spectrum, and to show fans and enthusiasts what is available for the system. If you search on Youtube for the games in this video you will find walkthroughs for most of them, and do not let it fool you that some of the games can be completed in 10 minutes, because it will take a long time before you are able to do that. For example Ghost’n Goblins can be completed in 6 minutes …but who can do that ? Talking about Ghost’n Goblins, the Spectrum version was very poor and is not included in this video, but the similar games: Soldier of Fortune (1988/2003), Hobgoblin (1991) and Invasion of the Zombie Monsters (2010) that is of much better quality is included, so if you are into Ghost’n Goblins you should check out these games. Today the retro programming scene for the ZX Spectrum is HUGE, in fact this is the home computer with the biggest retro programming scene, and lots of games of a very high standard is being produced every year. The ZX Spectrum have also got it’s second youth with the releases of “Recreated ZX Spectrum”, “ZX Spectrum Vega”, “ZX Spectrum Next” and “ZX Spectrum Vega+” so the future is looking good for the ZX Spectrum. Facts about this video: All the games is, of course, ZX Spectrum games running on 16/48/128k hardware, and all the music / sound fx is from the actual game played. Seven games that uses the General Sound sound card interface is included but a note tells you that you need this interface for these games. So… YES – Doom is also a ZX Spectrum game running on 128k, and YES – Wolfenstein is also a ZX Spectrum game, programmed to use multicolor, running on 128k. And the games from 2013-2016 that are having more colors than the ZX Spectrum normally can show, is also ZX Spectrum games produced with Nirvana / Nirvana+ / Bifrost multicolor engines. Check my other videos for a lot of other games!

Spectrum Games Top 7 Ever! | Nostalgia Nerd
This video is about ZX Spectrum Games. But it feels a good day to remind ourselves of a time when Britain was united, exciting and accepting of the new digital computer era. A time when the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was the home computer king, and the extensive software library ensured that there were no shortage of games to choose from. Even pocket money games were worth having, regardless of whether you knew what you were getting or not. In this episode of Top 7 I explore my favourite Sinclair ZX Spectrum games from my youth. The list is biased, purely subjective and filled with nostalgia as I discuss my first and favourite home computer experience... The Spectrum. SPOILERS; Bruce Lee Batman the Movie Scuba Kidz Dynamite Dan Gunfighter The Trapdoor Spy vs Spy Other games mentioned include; Krazy Kong (possibly the worst clone of a classic ever conceived for the Spectrum, or in fact, ANY machine), along with; TransAm, Jetpac, Dizzy, Freddy Hardest, Dan Dare, Operation Wolf, Peter Pack Rat, Contact Sam Cruise, Robocop, Trashman, Bomb Jack, Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, Pssst, Gauntlet, Run the Gauntlet, Daily Thompson's Decathalon, Who Dares Wins 2, Starquake, Bubble Bobble, Postman Pat, Project Future, Werewolves of London, Ghost Hunters, Agent X, Elevator Action, Popeye, Ghostbusters, Gunfright, Treasure Island, Locomotion, Back to School and Beach Buggy Simulator. There're so many good games for the Spectrum, I had to mention a few more than 7. ☟Share☟ Please consider sharing this video on forums, websites, social media, etc,. Another 100 ZX Spectrum Games
Brought to you by http://retro-sanctuary.com After making my first video, and still having a whole load of games left over I believed there is so many good spectrum games that I could probably make another 100 video, so I did. the songs I used were "Setting Sun" by the Chemical Bros then "World hold on" by Bob Sinclair and lastly "take on me" by Aha. I don't think that this video turned out as good as the first one (I ended up having a lot of trouble with the soundtrack) but I think the actual quality of the games in it are as consistant (which is the important thing anyway) The games played are 1.Navy Seals 2.Hysteria 3.Shadow Warriors 4.Bionic Commando 5.Robin of the wood 6.Marauder 7.Ghouls and Ghosts 8.Strider 9.Street Fighter 10.Golden Axe 11.The Addams Family 12.Batty 13.L.E.D Storm 14.Switchblade 15.Shadow of the Beast 16.Turrican 17.Light Force 18.Space Harrier 19.Savage 20.Stop the Express 21.IK+ 22.Firefly 23.Hudson Hawk 24.Dragon Spirit 25.Extreme 26.Operation Thunderbolt 27.Alien Storm 28.Alien Syndrome 29.Karnov 30.Rampage 31.Shinobi 32.Underwurlde 33.Run Baby Run 34.Xenon 35.U.N Squadron 36.Fairlight 37.Last Ninja 2 38.Bobby Bearing 39.X-Out 40.Hammerfist 41.Seymour Goes to Hollywood 42.Forgotten Worlds 43.Victory Road 44.1942 45.Uridium 46.Lemmings 47.Sweevo's World 48.WWF 49.Ranarama 50.Driller 51.Buggy Boy 52.Outrun 53.Mercenary 54.Great Escape 55.Magic Land Dizzy 56.Marble Madness 57.TLL 58.Sim City 59.Terramex 60.Deflektor 61.Hero Quest 62.North and South 63.Bards Tale 64.Earthlight 65.Spherical 66.Space Crusade 67.Paperboy 68.Doomdarks' Revenge 69.Where Time Stood Still 70.Abbey of Crime/Abadia del Crimen 71.Intensity 72.Robocop 2 73.Xybots 74.Nether Earth 75.Wec Le Mans 76.720 77.Batman the Caped Crusader 78.Ant Attack 79.Impossaball 80.Lode Runner 81.Sabre Wulf 82.Three Weeks in Weeks Paradise 83.Hobbit 84.Trap Door 85.Chaos 86.Wheelie 87.Heavy on the Magick 88.Leaderboard 89.Toobin 90.Mad Mix 91.Roller Coaster 92.Jet Set Willy 93.Spy Vs Spy 94.Star Wars 95.Gunfright 96.Hyper Sports 97.Klax 98.Monty on the Run 99.Simpsons: Bart Vs the Space Mutants 100.Match Day 2 Thanks go to the World of Spectrum website for their wealth of research material.

Zeus presents Jet Pac (un-emulated) for the zx spectrum, a true classic from the golden era of spectrum gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game. Year of release: 1983 Ahhh, what a classic! Extremely addictive! Forever playing this back in the day and to my surprise i never got so far in the game until now while i was recording it for youtube!,...strange. Anyway, there are 16 levels (4 for each spacecraft) then it rolls back to level 1, fantastic game!!!!!!!!!! Hope all you Spectrum fans enjoy this upload. Please note: NONE of my game uploads are emulated in any way whatsoever, they are 100% original recordings by myself taken directly from the original hardware the game was intended for, that way you know you're watching the real thing. I will also always state weather i am using any cheats in the game, if not mentioned then i am not using any. Check out my channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/ZEUSDAZ/videos), dedicated to gamers who loved the games of yesteryear. Switch to 480p for best video quality and feel free to leave comments on my channel and vid's. Keeping the memory of the Spectrum and it's cool games alive!!!

Sinclair ZX Spectrum Story - Birth of a Classic | Nostalgia Nerd
The ZX Spectrum is 35 years old on 23rd April 2017, and it also holds a very special place in my heart, so it's time to wish it a happy birthday... It's the machine I grew up with and which led me to creating this very channel. I've covered the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the past, but frankly I didn't do it justice, so we're revisiting Sir Clive's iconic 8 bit home micro in detail, starting with The Sinclair Years in this two part documentary. This first part explores Clive Sinclair's early years, from his childhood to the formation of Sinclair Radionics in 1961, through the mini amplifier period, pocket calculator, black watch and finally his range of computers, starting with the MK14 and culminating in the ZX Spectrum 128k. We'll look at the people involved behind the Spectrum such as Jim Westwood and Chris Curry and explore other avenues such as the famous punch up between Clive and Chris in a Cambridge pub. So hold on tight, and let's get cracking with Jet Set F**king Willy. ZX Spectrum Vega Review | Sinclair Spectrum Vega Hardware
Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega review - is it worth it? Matty reviews Retro Computers' official Sinclair ZX Spectrum mini-console. Our Spectrum Vega review looks at what the Spectrum Vega can do, what it can't and whether the ZX Vega is a good #retrogaming purchase. TL;DR: The reviewed ZX Spectrum Vega is a good little product. Loads of games built-in, and an SD card option for adding any games which are missing. We found in our review that the Spectrum emulation is top-drawer with the Vega never dropping a frame or having any issues we encountered. Compared to the new Sega Mega Drive, NES Mini, Armiga and other machines on the market the Sinclair Spectrum Vega has a high asking price. For me I think it's overpriced for what it can deliver. BUT the Spectrum Vega has one advantage - it's a brand new Sinclair product, and so it's probably worth the money as a collector item - Sinclair collectors know how much vintage gear goes for so the Spectrum Vega could be a cheap addition to your retro computer collection. If you're interested in retro computer reviews, old PC content and vintage game reviews then please subscribe. Cheers!

You can use a mp3 player to load games in your ZX Spectrum. If your Spectrum don't have a "Line in", you must use a "Multi cassette adaptor" like in the video. With K7zx software http://bit.ly/spectrumK7ZX you can convert to mp3 or wav the TAP and TZX files. In the video the game loaded is pac-man because its fast to load. Have fun!

Let's Play ZX Spectrum Ghostbusters | Designed by David Crane
Let's Play ZX Spectrum Ghostbusters designed by David Crane, with fun facts and trivia throughout the video. I resume my game of Ghostbusters on Sir Clive Sinclair's Speccy over 30 years later using my previous account number. Will it still work and can I still remember how to play it? Find out the answers to all these important questions by actually watching the video. ► About ZX Spectrum The ZX Spectrum is an 8-bit personal home computer released in the United Kingdom in 1982 by Sinclair Research. It was manufactured in Dundee, Scotland, in the now closed Timex factory. Referred to during development as the ZX81 Colour and ZX82, it was launched as the ZX Spectrum by Sinclair to highlight the machine's colour display, compared with the black and white of its predecessor, the ZX81. The Spectrum was released as eight different models, ranging from the entry level with 16 KB RAM released in 1982 to the ZX Spectrum +3 with 128 KB RAM and built in floppy disk drive in 1987; together they sold in excess of 5 million units worldwide. The introduction of the ZX Spectrum led to a boom in companies producing software and hardware for the machine, the effects of which are still seen; some credit it as the machine which launched the UK IT industry. Licensing deals and clones followed, and earned Clive Sinclair a knighthood for "services to British industry". The Commodore 64, Dragon 32, Oric-1 and Atmos, BBC Microcomputer and later the Amstrad CPC range were rivals to the Spectrum in the UK market during the early 1980s. Over 24,000 software titles have been released since the Spectrum's launch and new titles continue to be released. ► Peripherals Several peripherals were marketed by Sinclair: the ZX Printer was already on the market, as the ZX Spectrum expansion bus was partially backwards-compatible with that of the ZX81. The ZX Interface 1 add-on module included 8 KB of ROM, an RS-232 serial port, a proprietary LAN interface (called ZX Net), and an interface for the connection of up to eight ZX Microdrives – somewhat unreliable but speedy tape-loop cartridge storage devices released in July 1983. These were used in a revised version on the Sinclair QL, whose storage format was electrically compatible but logically incompatible with the Spectrum's. Sinclair also released the ZX Interface 2 which added two joystick ports and a ROM cartridge port. There were a plethora of third-party hardware addons. The better known of these included the Kempston joystick interface, the Morex Peripherals Centronics/RS-232 interface, the Currah Microspeech unit (speech synthesis), Videoface Digitiser, RAM pack, the Cheetah Marketing SpecDrum, a drum machine, and the Multiface, a snapshot and disassembly tool from Romantic Robot etc. ► Let's Play ZX Spectrum - About the game Ghostbusters is a licensed game produced by Activision based on the movie of the same name. It was designed by David Crane, produced by Brad Fregger, and released for several home computer platforms in 1984, and later released for various video game console systems, including the Atari 2600, Sega Master System and NES. Ghostbusters (Activision) on the Commodore 64 (1984). ► Sir Clive Marles Sinclair (born 30 July 1940) is an English entrepreneur and inventor, most commonly known for his work in consumer electronics in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After spending several years as assistant editor of Instrument Practice, Sinclair founded Sinclair Radionics in 1961, where he produced the first slim-line electronic pocket calculator in 1972 (the Sinclair Executive). Sinclair later moved into the production of home computers and produced the Sinclair ZX80, the UK's first mass-market home computer for less than £100, and later, with Sinclair Research, the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum; the latter is widely recognised for its importance in the early days of the British home computer industry. Sinclair Research also produced the TV80, a flatscreen portable mini television ► About David Crane David Patrick Crane (born 1953 in Nappanee, Indiana, United States) is a video game designer and programmer. Crane started his programming career at Atari, making games for the Atari 2600. He also worked on the operating system for the Atari 800 computer. After meeting co-worker Alan Miller in a tennis game, Miller told Crane about a plan he had to leave Atari and found a company that would give game designers more recognition. From this meeting, Crane left Atari in 1979 and co-founded Activision, along with Miller, Jim Levy, Bob Whitehead, and Larry Kaplan. His games won many awards while he was at Activision. At Activision, he was best known as the designer of Pitfall!. Pitfall! was a huge hit, and maintained the top slot on the Billboard charts for 64 weeks and was named video game of the year in 1982. #ghostbusters #activision #retrogaming © 2017 Copyright - The Loch - The Legends of Cherry Hill - Let's Play ZX Spectrum computer by Sir Clive Sinclair

You know I do not warrant any money being pai for emulation and games. But for emulators such as this I think its up to the Dev. Its then upto you guys if you think it is worthy of the money. Its easy to get around and get this for free (Dont ask me). So in the ned you can make the choice :D For me, it is worth it and I want to help the dev make this and other emulators better! *****Thank you for supporting me guys and gals. Ten ZX Spectrum games that you have to play
As I’ve happily played through the Your Sinclair Top 100 over the past three months I’ve also had the chance to trawl through my wide variety of numerous other games too. Granted not all these games been great, as seen in the Top 5 Worst Games on the ZX Spectrum (see the link below), however there have been some which need playing and I’ve gathered them together. These games aren’t just arcade conversions from major labels, there’s original classics too scattered in amongst these shiny big names. However keep in mind this isn’t a Top 10 pop-pickers, albeit this list is counting up there is no high status given to any game; No.#4 isn’t better than No.#7 and vice versa, all of these games are classics and deserve equal respect. There’s obviously going to be something missing from this list that is dear to a classic gamer out there, so share below what you think should be in the “Must Play” list of ZX Spectrum games. Best ZX Spectrum 48k Music Compilation
Compilation of the best music from games running on the 48k ZX Spectrum. The humble 48k machine was capable of some stunning music, not bad for a sound chip that was advertised of being capable of only 1 voice with 10 octaves using the Basic BEEP command and which normally froze the processor! retroisland.blogspot.co.uk

Video of the list of games available in the ZX Spectrum Vega. It comes in two sets, one for arcade and the other adventure. For adventure games, there is a virtual keyboard so you can "type in" instructions. Any games which is not included in the list, can be added via a Micro SD card and simply insert it at the front of the unit. So games like Ant Attack, Jetset Willy, Renegade, etc. can be added.
