This is the seventh and most ambitious episode of Zelda Unknown about the bay and sea/ocean area of Zelda Wii U.
The episode is divided in two sections:
1. Theory and history about Pirates in the Zelda series
2. Extensive thoughts and ideas for the Bay and ocean based on the following categories: geography, sailing, naval combat, urban environments, races, enemies and wildlife and dungeon.

Like they are going to make another whole combat system for a small area like that? Tbh people think that codeing is super easy and can be done very fast but it takes weeks to implement that. Such an advanced system like blackflag was the main focus of the game! that why it is so good!
Srsly though that's cool that the captain of that ship was Ambi's love interest I never knew that! I've only played OoS --> OoA then I was working on OoA --> OoS, made it level 6, right around this part of the story, when fucking pokemon yellow/red/blue had to come out! -_- I'm 147 through the pokedex but when I finish it and get all 151 pokemon I'll have to return to the game and access all the secrets to see this unfold!! Awesome call guys!
You are probably right,but then again,i don't think they would make look cut off,if you only scroll a little bit to the edge,zelda games besides ALTTP never showed the entire map in the beggining,and we can clearly see in the game awards presentation it is zoomed out completely.
+orangeapples This series is about pointing out the potential the series inherits and game aspects where it needs to catch up to other game series that are doing the same things, but better. Not what actually will be included.
Times have changed and Zelda needs to evolve outside of implementing "new" gimmicks, this is why this series was created, and apparently even series producer Mr. Eiji Aonuma agrees on this in the delay announcement.
zelda wii u should just be the elder scrolls the witcher and assassins creed all rolled into one because so far thats what it seems like with what nintendo says (they took inspiration from skyrim) and what you guys have said (witcher is mentioned in season 2)
Something I'd like to see in Zelda U for exploration is something similar in games like World of Warcraft or Xeonblade Chronicles. Once you've easy access to an new location you can then explore it at free will, but have the map slowly put itself together as you explore.
Judging by how thin the sea portion of the map is, I doubt most of the things discussed in this video will be implemented. It just doesn't look like we will spend much time at sea in Zelda U. It will probably be somewhat similar to the Great Bay portion of Majora's Mask, but bigger. But probably not big enough to have the need to draw sailing mechanics inspiration from Wind Waker or Black Flag. Those games were made for a big sailing experience. Zelda U doesn't appear it will be that way at all.
A short update on the next episode of Zelda Unknown:
Due to immense level of work, a script where 15 pages were needed just for the theory, and the fact that I am in the middle of my exam preparations, I have had to take the difficult decision to postpone the next episode until Tuesday May 5.
I apologise for the delay, but this beast will require me to divide the episode into two separate videos, which will be uploaded on the same date next week.
On the other side, the wait will definitely be worth it. I am joined by both Anonymous Gamer and Macintyre Productions, and we will be going through 12 instalments to find out the secrets behind the Zoras in what will be a taste for a new series I am developing at the moment.

My assumption, personally, is that the deep water sections would not be accessible and you can simply only access the shallower water sections. I don't think the map will extend beyond the map we've seen either. But this is a good analysis nonetheless.
Oh, and I definitely think we'll be getting more towns and villages in this game at least compared to past titles.
And I just binge-watched all seven episodes of this amazing series of videos. :D Thank you for the extensive analyses. You highlighted some awesome things I've missed in my [obsessive] rewatches of all things Zelda U, and this most recent episode with the edges of the map hinting at more has given me even more to chew on during Zelda U's delay. :D Thank you again! Update on the Zora´s Domain and river episode of Zelda Unknown:
I did not state a specific date for the next episode of Zelda Unknown in the bay/sea episode because of my extremely tight time-schedule and personal commitments for the upcoming week (Week 17), which will make it impossible to have the video on Zora´s Domain up by next Thursday.
With those words I have three following announcements:
1. "Zelda Unknown - Home of Zoras" will be up on either Tuesday April 28 or Thursday April 30. The episodes after this one in the series will be uploaded each other week.
2. My news/discussion series: "State of the Realm", will premiere sometime in the upcoming week and my first guest is +Zeltik!

I like the effort put into these videos but there does seem to be a lot wishful thinking & assumptions witch I guess is all we can go by at the moment but its still only going to get peoples exceptions unreasonably high :O
That was a pretty dope opening. What is the name of the song? I am sure that there will be sailing and it would be cool to see pirates again like in Wind Waker or Majora's Mask. I think that if pirates do return to the game, they will play some part in one of the dungeons. I would like to see you do the Zora's Domain for the next video.
I don't think there will be something called the sea province in Zelda Wii-U. The crescent island seems to be reachable par shallow water... so it could mean you can go there by swimming instead of using a boat... my opinion... that does not mean i would not like something like that; it just does not look it will be implemented with ships and naval battleship :)
I could see some form of boat in the game not to the expectations as what this video is asking for. maybe a little sail boat which you could fish on maybe the deeper the water the better the catch and possible diving

As for having simple takeovers of ships by having Link just defeat the enemies via combat only, that's doable, but why would you just want only that? There should be tricks and some thinking involved. 2 parts on different channels bothers me. Good episode, though.
first of all good video. if you notice the light blue goes in a small strip to the island maybe the light blue is where you can travel and the dark part could be an out of bounds thing. i would like you to do zora's domain in the next video. PS thanks for all the content you give
