I see Flower shares a regenerative mechanic with Okami. Hmmm
ArrivalOf DOOM (18 hours ago)
Would instantly select Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - as its one of the most beautiful Games out there. But only a metacritic of 78. Boo

Ok ive got xbox 360 now after seeing the reviews i must get a ps4.
Arve Eriksson (2 days ago)
... I knew about all o' these, because ACCESS WAS RAVING ABOUT THEM FOR WEEKS ON END! :-p Anyway, for the games mentioned that I've actually played, I'm 100% behind the recommendation. Some may be quirky, but they're all good at what they try to deliver.
quirin guenther (3 days ago)
FEZ and Flower were on PS+, right ?
Asmit Basu. (4 days ago)
yep already played shovel knight, fez and inside!
johnny Jameson (4 days ago)
You could be stuck with xbox, and not have any exclusives
Jacques Lapierre (4 days ago)
pc anyone?
Cody Martin (5 days ago)
The only downside I would say for Shovel Knight on PS4 is that there's no co-op. I have yet to play it, but the idea of it has lead me to wanting my D&D characters to fight with a shovel. I'd love to see a homebrewed shovel weapon and even classes/characters based on Shovel Knight.
Spiderfly (5 days ago)
We some of these on vita. We already have shovel Knight and Fez and under tale.
Spiderfly (5 days ago)
Shovel Knight is epic and all the free dlc
ninjajames_IX (5 days ago)
I think Celeste is pretty popular honestly.

I recognized Flower in a split second due to the sped up car lights passing. Flower is one of my favorite games to play. Have it on PS3, PS4, and Vita. Edit: I already knew all of these games were on PS4 xD. Also Undertale on PS4 is the first time i experienced it. Truly amazing game. Hate the cancerous fan base, love the game.

Did anyone else spot the grammar mistake at 9:39 on Fez? It should read "Ha! There you are" not "Ha! There are you" 😁
skynet091287 (6 days ago)
I must have TERRIBLE taste in games... I knew about all of these, i played all of these, and all of them were at best "meh" for me... It might be because i'm not a fan of indie games as a whole. I'm not saying they are bad, but more that for every gem, there are 20-30 stinkers, and since almost no big reviewers play smaller indie games, and most receive next to no advertising, you often don't know what you get before you start playing

ThatGameCompany is SO amazing. I love flower so damn much. I keep returning to it, same for Journey. They both carry such beautiful and important messages with them. And Rob described the magic of Flower perfectly
Tom Andersen (8 days ago)
Flower is easily my fave on this list. I replay it every now and then. Gorgeous and relaxing.
Cydonian 77 (8 days ago)
Bought Original Sin 2 after watching this AMAZING thank you access, I never even knew this masterpiece existed
Also, am I the only one that gets literally nothing out of playing games like Flower? Tried it for a few hours and put it down never to be touched again. Bored me to tears.
Anyone going out of their way to avoid buying Divinity Original Sin 2 so that they don't lose their life to it? Because I am. I can't afford to spend months and months playing the same game. No matter how brilliant it is. There are just too many amazing games out there already.
Baron Fortesque (8 days ago)
I found Freedom Planet amazing, if you think sonic mania was great but wanted more new mechanics you should try it, so good (also shout out for Ikaruga cause like no one seems to know about this being on ps4)
Alpharock Salah (8 days ago)
Haha i knew all of them, anyone who dosent only play aaa know all of them
Salty Scholar (8 days ago)
Great list!
THANOSPOOL (8 days ago)
I knew undertale was on ps4 I never heard of any of the other games XD
mrnickbig1 (8 days ago)
Wow, at 0:17, they got the double rainbow right! Most games that have them simply duplicate a regular single rainbow. However, IRL, the second (outer) rainbow has the color order reversed.
Terrence Thompson (8 days ago)
Own them all except Divinity. And have been close to buying it a few times.
Dylan Gantrich (9 days ago)
Metacritic is a joke though, who even looks at that?

Nice try trolling. I played almost all games. And Inside was waaaaaay worse than u said. Total waste of money! Boring as hell. There is nothing innovative in it . Especially if u are into games for over 30years. Ive seen all DUH
thegreatmoustachio (9 days ago)
Great... So you convinced me to research Divinity: Original Sin 2, and now I think I need to buy it. Thanks a lot Rob. As if I didn't already have a massive mountain of games on my backlog, now I've gotta skip a major RPG to the front of the list. Thanks a lot. At this rate, I am never going to play God of War 4...
Daan Passé (9 days ago)
I played almost all of these asside from Fez the game looks fun but i hate the idea that Phil Fish got money in any way from my purchase.
Elias S-Logan (9 days ago)
Delta rune, undertal 2.0 pretty good so far a few Easter eggs any fan of undertal could find easy. Look it up you wont regret it if you do see a dr.
Jan Terpstra (9 days ago)
“Cancel whatever plans you have for tonight and play Inside instead.” I’ve got a major maths test tomorrow, but if Rob says so, I guess I will.
Mike Fox (9 days ago)
Fez bored me SO much! I tried to get into it, but it just wasn't working for me.

My favorite PS4 indies are Slain Back from Hell, Rogue Legacy, Pinball Arcade, The Binding of Isaac, and Super Meatboy would be on here if they didn't mess with the soundtrack :( The 360/PC version is superior because of this, IMO. Turns out the copyright ran out on the soundtrack so when they rereleased the game for PS4, they had to compose a new soundtrack for it, and it's SO much worse than the classic original.
The Sides of Games (10 days ago)
Nice dr who reference
Yi Long (10 days ago)
Yo Rob, I'm really happy for you, that's a really nice top 7 list you got there, and Imma let you finish, but Team Meat had one of the best videogames of all time…one of the best videogames of all time! SUPER MEAT BOY!!!
chris stevens (10 days ago)
Still no delsin badger why
Other brilliant PS4 downloadable titles (That may or may not have 90+ scores) -Everything -The Witness -Clustertruck -Transistor -Talos Principle -Owlboy -Furi -Thumper -Enter The Gungeon -Nidhogg 2 -Night In The Woods -Hellblade; Senua's Sacrifice -Pyre -Oxenfree -Darkest Dungeon -Stardew Valley -Banner Saga trilogy I feel like that's enough games for a year or two
The development of Fez was detailed on Indie Game: The Movie, and was one of the hardest, most painful things to watch, and a process that simultaneously imbues me with affection, fear, pain and hatred toward it's developer Phil Fish. I don't understand such a man.
Zach Siegel (10 days ago)
Is there a place that you could get a Playstation access controller cover for the light in front?
Ruairi Moore (10 days ago)
Inside was absolutely Genius
Andrew (10 days ago)
If anyone is considering divinity original sin 2 then I say you should get it. I have almost 300 hours in it and it's amazing. I will admit that it is better on PC though but if you've never played it on PC you won't be spoiled and might enjoy it on console
Apple Cider (10 days ago)
Most of the games on this list are indeed fantastic... not FEZ or Flower though.
Currently playing Divinity Original Sin 2 just in the first chapter and I must say this is the best turn based RPG that ever existed
Ghost Razgriz (10 days ago)
Anyone ever hear of spider man? Heard it was a cult classic.
MidBoss666 (10 days ago)
Whys is this list missing Final fantasy IX? It has the highest Metacritic rationg of all the FF games, and far too many people still don't realize it has been released for PS4... so just WHY is bloody Undertale, which everyone knows was released for PS4, here and not FFIX?
Soilent Diva (10 days ago)

If you liked Inside then try Little Nightmares, it got a similar eerie atmosphere to it. Also, Valkyria Chronicles 4 is underrated for such a brilliant game
I love shovel knight. Although i play it on Nintendo...
Nexielas (10 days ago)

I'm so sorry, Rob. I always manage to catch you doing something else...

Two words. Metal. Gear... ?!?? Nah really, Portal Knights is a fantastic little game made by the same people that made Terraria, and it shares some similarities with Terraria.

Rob, never ever ever ever leave us. No matter if I’m late watching this (life, you know), you always manage to cheer me up and entertain me for 10 minutes or so.

okami!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i didnt look at meta critic but if you see this comment play okami its tight)
Jack Faire (11 days ago)
Please in the future just tag a spoiler warning and then spoil it. It's annoying having to go Google why I should want to play a game because you refuse to say why I should play it. Telling me to play Inside but not really telling me anything about it meh. I am the kind of person that if the first part of a book sucks I check out the last chapter if it's good I'll go back and keep reading. If it sucks too then I put away the book. Spoilers don't actually mean anything. No one has perfected the art of actually spoiling anything. Literally the only way for someone to give you the same experience and thus spoil the experience for you is to have you play that thing or watch that thing. Basically a shot for shot remake like Little Tribe, Big Jungle compared to Jungle 2 Jungle. Otherwise it's a pale shadow of what you will actually experience and only an appetizer for the whole experience.
Victor Sullivan (11 days ago)
I played undertale enough to get the platinum. never finished it though lol.

The problem with people who enjoy fantasy RPGs (Re: Divinity Original Sin 2), is they can't imagine there are people who don't enjoy fantasy RPGs. Let me expand on that: I can fully understand there are people who don't like truck driving simulations as much as I do. On a base level the gameplay is kind of repetitive and any further challenge is setting yourself goals which aren't really enforced by the game; like totally wearing out a set of tyres or trying to see whether the game allows a real truck manufacturer's published service interval of 50k kilometres to be feasable without accident damage muddling up your engine and gearbox wear and tear. I'm currently watching a Divinity Original Sin 2 walkthrough by someone, +Major Slack Videos, who I really trust as a gamer on the whole and has turned me onto some gameplay gems I wouldn't have naturally gravitated towards in the past. He truly loves this game and, yet, for me, the red flags remain; why would I spend time simulating a world which isn't in anyway compatible with the real world at all (ie. existing in a world where magic is real) and where even experienced players advance through trial and error instead of applying real world logic? -and which, on top of that, have mechanics which will allow you to rob NPC's blind without consequence? How is this enjoyable? -I've yet to have a satisfactory answer from someone who doesn't secretely wish reality wasn't real.
Jared Fogle (9 days ago)
You could say the same about a lot of topics. Books for example. Yes it doesn't carry all of your points but it does have the fantasy/reality argument. Sometimes people don't gravitate towards complete reality. They want a story or a strategic experience, in which they don't have to constantly reason over whether or not it's realistic. For example, shooters like Overwatch are there to provide a team work game with it's own set of rules to learn and master. It provides a challenge to overcome, and to Excell at. Yes, it doesn't provide much to the real world, but who said it had to? A different genre would be a story, say mass effect. People want to experience a story they haven't heard before, with conflicts relatively new and mentally conflicting. Yes, it may not be a realistic story considering the future setting and problems, but it tells something new. For century's people have been creating fantasy for the sake of enjoyment, think of fairy tales. Now we have technology to make more and better stories, with better methods of translation than speech. I can get that you may not enjoy delving into fantasy as much as most people who play games do, and that's fine. They make different genres for a reason and there is literally no reason to judge on that. People grind out on fantasy worlds because they like the thought of progress, and they can get that feeling while also experiencing a story that they equally enjoy..... I hope that this has provided some reasoning to you about why people enjoy these types of games. As for the last point (sorry, I remembered that one after I was already finishing) The ai required to create fair and realistic conciquence is coming forth. Take a look at red dead redemption 2. Consequences make up a huge part of the game and it rewards you to some degree for not doing unlawful behavior, yet it gives you a reason to break the law as well with cash. People have pretty much always noticed the lack of conciquence in games, but we put up with them. Games don't have to get everything right to be fun. Also, if it sounds like I'm a little agressive, don't mind it XD, I'm pretty tired right now so I can't exactly formulate exactly what I mean. I hope my comment doesn't come off as defensive or attacking, but as civil and respectful.

Undertale is totally overrated.
Brayster 01 (11 days ago)
I think almost every undertale fan knows it on PS4

I honestly have no idea how to recomend Flower to other people
Paul Regan (11 days ago)
I didnt expect to like divinity 2 but when I played it a couple months ago on PC it was one of the best games I’ve played in a long time.

JopieHaargel (11 days ago)
I sooo want to play Celeste, but I'm still quietly hoping there will be a physical release. Limited Run or otherwise.
Erlaxis (11 days ago)
Fez is a bit underwhelming, but all other choices are great in my opinion.
Edgar Larios (11 days ago)
Why! Why did they have to give away the flowey twist? It's part of the hook that gets you curious about the rest of the game!
Center Progressive (11 days ago)
Uncharted 4 on ebay $9.62 Witcher 3 $12.97 MGS5 $8.74 Celeste on psn $19.99 Shovel Knight $25 It's hard to get to the indies when AAA games often go so much cheaper.

Meh Divinity is the only game I would ever play indie side scrolling 2d platforming poo no thanks
vincentgraymore (11 days ago)
Sadly divinity original sin 2 is broken with its combat system. The armour system empowers having same damage types and primes the party to not be diverse. I kickstarted the game with a 4x copy to play with friends and we quickly realized that 4 summoners are most likely the easiest op strategy that makes even the hardest setting trivial.
Tamás Tóth (11 days ago)
For me it's hyper light drifter and firewatch. I know these didn't get 90+ but they should
Elite Snowman king (11 days ago)
Hi Rob are you playing your childhood game DESTREGA for ps1 as a Christmas special ???????
DeliverersBestFriend (11 days ago)
